Nasi Ayam Kampung

Location : I don't know where this is ! Rizal directed us here, but it'sin town somewhere, near the cycling race track.. Cheras direction but not as far.. Anyway, it's apparently another branch as the ayam kampung shop in Kampung Baru.

Can make it within an hour ? (travel + service) : I guess, if Rizal shows the way again !

Decor/Ambience : Pretty cool, coz it's all al fresco ala KL, meaning big square plastic umbrellas. The success of the place has forced it to take over pretty much all the area outside the food court. Which is fine because it's then not so hot and crowded, even though there's lots of people.

Food : Can't go wrong here, simply deep fried ayam kampung, with an array of Kelantanese dishes to choose from. Personally, to really enjoy it is to have the sambal and some ulam and some gravy.. and that's it. Heaven !

Price : To be honest, cant recall.. but it's the usual up to RM10 per plate depending on what you slap on your plate.

Return Trip ? : Well, the food is as good as the one in Kampung Baru, but if we feel like a different view, then yeah !

Location : Kampung Baru, foodcourt on Lorong Raja Muda, next to the stadium.

Can make it within an hour ? (travel + service) : Oh yeah.. but parking is something else tho.

Decor/Ambience : Just a bunch of tables thrown together. Getting to the food's a bit of a chore because you'll have to queue up at the rather small shop. If the weather's hot, can be a little uncomfortable, but hei, that's a small price to pay for the great food.

Food : Deep fried ayam kampung, with a host of kelantanese dishes. The ulam and sambal is a must. The daging dinding is no push over either. To be honest, all the dishes are good even if you dont get the fried ayam kampung. A little tip... grab the fried chicken from inside the kitchen. They're freshly fried !

Price : Depends on what you taroh on your plate, not more than RM10 I reckon.

Return Trip ? : Many many many times..
